1944 GAZ-67B
Light all-terrain vehicle - development of the GAZ-64 model. Produced from September 1943. Leading designers - Vitaly Andreevich Grachev and from August 1944 - Grigory Moiseevich Wasserman. Thanks to the wider track of the front and rear wheels, the GAZ-67 had much better stability. Engine power with a new carburetor increased to 54 hp. Strengthened frame and suspension. In proportion to the track, the width of the tail of the body also increased, the shape of the wings changed, and side steps appeared. The modernized version, known as the GAZ-67B (released since November 1944), was distinguished by a detailed improvement of bearings, transmission and chassis hinges, a carburetor, a fuel settling filter, an ignition distributor with an octane corrector and other elements.
Most of the production of GAZ-67B fell on the post-war period. Since 1948, a stamped radiator grille has been installed on the car, with which it received its finished look and is most widespread, including in feature films “about the war”.
